What Is Counselling

Facing certain issues can be challenging, and discussing them might feel even harder.

We might find ourselves feeling stuck in a place we’d rather not be in. And sometimes, it seems impossible to move beyond a difficult experience, and feel that we should be coping better.

We might also sense that something just isn’t right, but what that is we just don't know. And at times, we just wish someone could truly understand our feelings.

Counselling provides an opportunity to explore your struggles in an open, supportive, non-judgmental, and confidential space. If you feel unable to move forward for any reason, counselling might help you. The process aims to help you navigate your current difficulties and offers hope for a new, healthier way of living.

If you would like an initial call to help you decide it counselling is for you then please feel free to get in touch. This call is offered free of charge and there is no obligation to continue.

As Carl Rogers says:

‘When someone really hears you without passing judgment on you, without trying to take responsibility for you, without trying to mould you, it feels damn good… When I have been listened to and when I have been heard, I am able to re-perceive my world in a new way and to go on. It is astonishing how elements which seem insoluble become soluble when someone listens. How confusions, which seem irremediable turn into relatively clear flowing streams when one is heard’.
